How do you rate Council services?

From Friday 19 July randomly selected residents will be contacted as part of a survey to seek feedback on Council’s services.

“We’d like to hear what people think about things like roading, libraries and parks," head of community planning, Andrew Boyle said. "The best way to do this is to survey a representative cross-section of residents and to have this done by an independent group to ensure impartiality.”

National Research Bureau (NRB) has been commissioned to undertake the survey and report to the Council.

Andrew Boyle says a random selection method will be used thereby guaranteeing a wide scope of residents throughout the City, including Linton, Ashhurst, Longburn and Bunnythorpe are surveyed. They will be asked their opinions on the services the Council delivers. The survey is totally anonymous.

“Survey results help Council prepare its plans and budgets,” Andrew said. “We do the survey every two years so we can track changes in residents’ expectations of Council. This helps us develop better services.”

Interviewing is expected to be completed on Sunday 28th July. Andrew urges people who are phoned by NRB to take part in the survey. He says it is important that the Council gets the views of as many residents as possible.
