Purple Cake Day pair up with WOW® to help children around the world
Auckland, New Zealand – July 8, 2013 –
Purple Cake Day join World of WearableArt™ as a charity of choice – giving their supporters access to tickets for the upcoming WOW® preview show.
New Zealand charity Purple Cake Day have long recognised the power of creativity to make a difference.
They use fun, interactive activities and events to raise awareness of the education needs children around the world are facing.
This year their goal is raise $100,000 for disadvantaged children in Haiti, Nepal, and Kenya.
The World of WearableArt™ is helping Purple Cake Day get closer to this goal, by selecting them as a charity of choice; an honour shared with only two other NZ charities.
WOW® founder, Dame Suzie Moncrieff, has been a passionate supporter of Purple Cake Day from the very beginning and is now also Patron of the Foundation.
“We’re so excited to have the support of WOW® this year,” says Purple Cake Day founder, Emily Sanson--Rejouis.
“It is a real honour, and will help us achieve our goals of helping children in poverty have access to life--changing education opportunities.” Purple Cake Day have 200 ‘best seats in the house’ tickets available for the WOW® Preview Show on September 25th in Wellington.
The show is a breathtaking spectacular of dance, theatre, music and art, with incredible garments brought to life over the non--stop 2 hours.

Every ticket sold raises funds to help children in under--privileged countries get the education they need.
