Twenty-six Local Businesses Invite Customers to Vote
From Monday (8th July 2013), twenty six retail and service businesses in Kapiti and Horowhenua will give their customers the opportunity to rank them on performance.
For the first time, members of the public will vote to determine the winner of the Customer Choice categories in this year’s Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business awards
Awards organiser, Kirsten Kilmister, says there is an even split between businesses in either the retail or service categories. More than two-thirds of the businesses entering are from the Kapiti Coast District.
Chair of awards organiser Business Kapiti Horowhenua, Mark Ternent says that the new awards will add an extra dimension to the annual awards which otherwise are considered by well qualified assessors who report to an independent judging panel.
Businesses in the Customer Choice awards have been given a “Vote for me logo” to display and will be encouraging their customers to enter via the internet site bkh.org.nz.
Customers can rank each business in four steps from Ok to Outstanding on staff, product choice, ambience and overall experience and they can add other comments if they wish.
Customers who do participate will go into the draw for some prizes from firms that are not in the competition.
Voting ends on Friday 9th August.
