Blankets needed for cold pooches
Porirua City Council has sent out a call to residents asking for old blankets, towels or sheets that they no longer want. The Council's supply for keeping the dogs at the pound warm is running low and they're looking for clean, used bedding or towels to replenish their stocks. People can drop them off during working hours, at the Animal Control Centre at the Council's Works Depot in Prosser Street, Elsdon, or at the Council's Administration Building in Cobham Court. Or if people can't drop them off but live in Porirua City, they can ring the Council on 237 5089 and someone from Animal Control can pick them up. On behalf of the dogs - Woof! Woof! (Thank You!)
