The Paekākāriki Hill Road
will remain closed until at least 6pm because of slips on
the Porirua side. Waterfall Road is closed and Jeep Road
and Rodney Grove have been closed temporarily because of
fallen trees.
Part of the roof has blown off the Raumati South Memorial Hall in Tennis Court Road. A garage sale to be held in the hall on Sunday has been cancelled.
There have been reports of power lines down in some areas. Sports grounds are waterlogged and most are likely to be closed this weekend. To check individual grounds, people should ring the Sportsline on 04 2964720.
