Consultation is now open: Auckland Transport

New Network – Auckland Transport

Consultation is now open
Have your say on the proposed New Network for South Auckland

From June 19 to 4pm, 2 August, consultation is open for the new public transport network proposed for South Auckland. Now's the chance to have your say. Visit our website to see the New Network maps, details of the changes we're proposing, and to submit your feedback.

Introducing the New Network
Over the next few years, Auckland Transport is moving to a simpler and more integrated public transport network for Auckland. This will deliver a New Network of buses and trains that will change the way people travel, allowing more passengers to simply ‘turn up and go’ rather than planning trips around a timetable. The New Network will be implemented in phases and we’re starting with South Auckland.
To learn more about how the New Network will change the way we use public transport in Auckland, watch the video.

Make your feedback count
How to make an informed submission
Comprehensive information including maps, details of the changes proposed, and what’s being proposed for each suburb, are now available on the Auckland Transport website, to help you make an informed submission on the New Network proposed for South Auckland.

via the online feedback form
by filling out and sending us the freepost form attached to the Southern Consultation Brochures (available on our website, at open days or from libraries, service centres and local board offices in South Auckland) or by calling (09) 366 6400

What will happen after consultation closes?

Your feedback is important to us. All submissions will be analysed, reported on and considered along side a number of other factors. Once the New Network for South Auckland is finalised, we’ll be going out to tender for the new bus services. Actual implementation of the New Network for South Auckland is expected for early 2015.
New timetables will be available prior to implementation to help you plan your journey ahead of any changes made.
Still have questions? You can come along to an open day being held near you and ask an Auckland Transport representative, or call (09) 366 6400.
