Upcoming Waikato District Matariki Festival events



Unfortunately due to bereavement we have had to postpone our Matariki Maaori kai stand at the Tamahere Country Market this Saturday, 15 June. We apologise for the inconvenience.

The Tamahere County Market will go ahead as per usual and we hope to be there in the near future.

Matariki movie night is on at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre this weekend, with a special screening of the movie ‘Maori Boy Genius’ on Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 4.30pm.

Matariki magic clay classes are on Tuesday 18 June at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre from 5pm to 6.30pm for children and teenagers aged 10-16 years. Entry costs $59 or $49 for siblings, including materials. Bookings are essential. Phone 07 825 0023 to register or drop into the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart Street, Raglan.

Next week will see a lantern making workshop at the Twin River Arts Centre (Ngaruawahia Community House, 13 Galileo Street) in Ngaruawahia, on Saturday 22 June from 9am – 1pm.
Head along and learn how to make a lantern in time for Light up the Point.
