Feathers and fun for families
27 May 2013
Real live tweeting – not the social media variety – will be to the fore at a family fun day at Pukeiti on Sunday (2 June).
Birds are the theme for the event, one of Pukeiti’s two-monthly family-focused Explorer Day.
Activities will include a bird search, a birdsong workshop, and information on how to encourage birds to visit your garden at home. Bring lunch, gumboots and binoculars. The event runs from 10.30am to 2pm, and will take place whatever the weather.
Explorer Days are part of a year-round programme of free public events at Pukeiti, Hollard Gardens and Tupare, the three heritage properties owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the people of the region. For more information, seewww.pukeiti.org.nz,www.tupare.info andwww.hollardgardens.info. Social media users can also follow the three Taranaki Regional Council gardens on Facebook (TaranakiRegionalGardens) and Twitter (@TaranakiRG).
