Life Flight responds to injured Moto Cross rider and a car accident in Wainuiomata

The Life Flight Trust’s Westpac rescue helicopter has responded to two incidents this afternoon.
At Approx 2pm this afternoon The life Flight Trust responded to the Wairarapa to a Moto Cross accident.
Life Flight responded in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board.
The Helicopter was able to land near to the injured rider in the foot hills to the East of Pirinoa township.
The rider, a Hawkes Bay man in his late 40’s, was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency department with moderate chest injuries.
At approx 4.50pm The life
Flight Trust responded to Coast Road Wainuiomata to a
motor vehicle accident.
On arrival of the helicopter both Fire Service and Wellington Free Ambulance personnel were in attendance, extracting the trapped driver of the vehicle.
The driver, a female of unknown age, was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency department with moderate injuries. A second person in the car was transported to hospital by Wellington Free Ambulance.
