Changes to midweek train services south of Otahuhu from Monday 27 May
Auckland Transport advises of changes to some midweek night-time train services south of Otahuhu, so KiwiRail can continue installing overhead line equipment in preparation for the arrival of electric trains.
Buses will replace all trains south of Otahuhu from about 8.40pm, Sunday to Thursday until further notice. The changes will start from Monday 27 May.
Replacement rail bus services will be provided on the night and marked Rail Bus. Signage with maps detailing the rail bus stop locations will guide customers and temporary timetables will be posted at stops during the changes.
All valid tickets and passes currently accepted on trains can be used on rail bus replacements.
Full details are available online now at www.at.co.nz and customers can get a copy of the temporary rail bus timetable at Britomart, Newmarket, Papakura and New Lynn train stations.
Given the significant amount of work to be done, closures on Auckland's rail network will be a regular occurrence for the foreseeable future.
For more details on the upgrade of the rail network visit www.kiwirail.co.nz.
