Waikato District Council Launches Online Services Portal

Want to report a barking dog? Need to change your rates notices mailing address? Noticed a pothole in the road? Want to let the council know?

Head to Waikato District Council’s new Online Services portal, which is accessible on the www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz homepage through the Online Services tab.

This new feature provides a comprehensive and convenient request service which allows customers to make a request at their convenience, at any time of the day or night, and track the progress.

There is a wide range of request categories to choose from, representing the many services offered by the council, to help the customer identify their need.

Customers are able to register with Online Services, which provides them with a user account personalised to their details and gives them the ability to monitor the status of their requests.

General Manager Strategy & Support Tony Whittaker said online services were a key focus for the council and part of its ongoing commitment to being accessible to ratepayers.

“Online services are an efficient way of interacting with our customers. This service has been developed internally and it’s really simple to use.”

Mr Whittaker said Online Services could be used by anyone with access to the internet – whether it be at home, work or on their mobile device and the portal contained security features to protect the privacy of customers’ information.

Requests raised on Online Services on weekends or outside of working hours (8am – 5pm) will be processed on the next working day, so customers are asked to phone 0800 492 452 if their request is urgent.
