A new appointment will bring renewed enthusiasm to the Eastern Bay’s economic development agency, Toi-EDA.
Toi-EDA Chair, Tony de Farias, says the organisation is delighted to announce the appointment of Sneha Gray to the role
of General Manager.
“Mrs Gray brings with her more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, communications and public relations,” Mr de
Farias says. “She has worked for several market leading companies, including KPMG, and was responsible for planning and
delivering high-quality marketing communications strategies. Along with her colleagues, Ms Gray also won the Public
Relations Institute Award for KPMG’s Agribusiness Marketing and Communications Strategy in 2010.”
Mrs Gray manages Fresh Reputations, a company she started whilst living in the UK. Having recently moved back to New
Zealand, she has been working for Ngati Awa Tertiary. Also proving she is no stranger to study, Ms Gray holds a Bachelor
of Arts, specialising in History, Economics, Political Science and Communications along with a Masters in Communications
and PR and a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations.
Mrs Gray says, put simply, her passion is to change places and people for the better.
“There cannot be a community without an economy, and that community cannot take pride in itself if the business of
business is not done in a sustainable way,” Mrs Gray says. “I believe it’s about finding that fine balance between the
two, and I’m looking forward to working alongside community leaders, economists, business leaders, councils, iwi,
environmentalists, educators and other economic development agencies in the region to achieve this, and lift the profile
of the Eastern Bay.”
