Plan your trip to Pasifika now
Getting to Pasifika Festival has never been easier with bus and train services and free shuttles available all day
Saturday, 9 and Sunday, 10 March.
Take the train from Britomart or Newmarket along the western rail line to Western Springs Park – it’s a 20 minute walk
from Morningside Rail Station. Or hop off at Baldwin Avenue Rail Station and catch the free Pasifika shuttle from
Rossgrove Terrace. The free shuttle will operate throughout event times – Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
Bus and trains will operate to usual weekend services. For timetable information go to www.at.co.nz
If you need to bring your car to Pasifika Festival, park at Unitec on Carrington Road and jump aboard the free park and
ride service which will run during the festival hours.
Parking near the event is limited, however some designated parking areas are available at Western Springs College for
$10 per day, and at MOTAT off Meola Road ($10 per day) or off Great North Road ($20 per day). You will be able to enter
the festival from both Great North and Motions roads.
Remember to park legally and respect parking restrictions to avoid being towed.

• Pasifika Festival 2013 celebrates 21 years of showcasing Pacific cultures
• Saturday 9 March, 10am to 5pm – Western Springs will be transformed into 10 villages from Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Cook
Islands, Tokelau, Niue, Tahiti, Kirbati, Tuvalu and Aotearoa. Each village will offer food, art, dance and music.
• Sunday 10 March:
9am to 10am – Enjoy a special combined church service celebrating Pacific culture and faith
10am to 4pm – Experience the culture of 10 Pacific nations by visiting the villages positioned around Western Springs
Park.
• Proceeds from fundraising at the 2013 Pasifika Festival will be donated to Make a Wish New Zealand which supports children with life threatening illnesses.
