DATE: 4 March 2013

Free Concert for Folk Music Lovers

Hungry for some good old fashioned folk music with a modern twist? Then head on down to Hawera LibraryPlus on 12 March, at 1:30pm for a free concert from renowned American folk musicians, Hungrytown.

This is the first tour of New Zealand for husband and wife duo Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, who tour full-time throughout the USA, Canada and Europe. The popular entertainers have an accomplished reputation. Their songs have been performed by many other artists, including Nashville song writing legend David Olney, bluegrass veterans the Virginia Ramblers and Hungrytown’s music has also appeared on several television shows. No wonder Hawera LibraryPlus leapt at the opportunity to be part of their 2013 New Zealand Tour.

Hungrytown’s style has been described as Americana inspired by English, Scottish and European folk music. Country JukeBox says, “the extremely talented singer/songwriter duo enjoy an exalted reputation among genre fans as modern representatives of traditions-based folk music.”

Don’t miss this opportunity for some free, high quality entertainment. Make your way to Hawera LibraryPlus, Tuesday 12 March at 1.30pm to see Hungrytown perform!
