General Manager Appointments
The Waikato District Council is pleased to announce the appointment of two highly experienced professionals to its executive team.
The new members are Sue Duignan and Tim Harty.
Council’s chief executive, Gavin Ion said Ms Duignan will be joining the council in April as general manager customer support and Mr Harty will take up the position of general manager service delivery the same month.
“It’s important I continually review how the council operates to ensure we are providing an effective service for our ratepayers.
“The new general manager positions will ensure the executive team has a stronger focus on customer support and service delivery which better reflects the needs of our business,” he said.
Mr Ion began the executive team review in October
2012. The outcome of the review was a reduction in general
managers reporting to the chief executive, from six to
three.
