Plan your journey to the Black Caps vs. England, ODI
Travel by public transport to Eden Park for the Black Caps vs. England, One Day International, on Saturday.
There is no free travel with a game ticket to the match. However there is a range of transport options and fares and
people should check in advance and make plans to travel early. Plan your journey at www.at.co.nz or by phoning 09 366 6400.
Traffic will be heavy in the area around Eden Park, some roads will be closed and areas close to the stadium are
restricted to parking for residents only. People not going to the game should be aware there is potential for delays in
the area.
Travel by train to the cricket:
Additional trains will operate before and after the match. These services will call at all stations between Kingsland
and Britomart.
A $5 special ‘event ticket’ is available for use on trains for adults and children. It is valid for travel on the day
from 11am until the end of services, to and from Eden Park. It is recommended to pre-purchase from ticket offices at
Britomart, Newmarket, New Lynn and Papakura.
Go by bus to the cricket:
Passengers travelling from the northern suburbs are advised to catch the Northern Express to Britomart. This service
will operate to a normal scheduled timetable. Other bus services will also operate to a normal timetable with standard
fares.
Travel by car to the cricket:
Some roads around Eden Park will be closed to the public. Limited mobility parking areas are available on Cricket
Avenue. Every effort will be made to ensure access for residents and their visitors; however, depending on crowd size
and movement, access may be restricted at the discretion of Auckland Transport and the Police.
Travel by ferry to the cricket:
The Downtown Ferry Terminal is next to the Britomart Transport Centre in downtown Auckland. This means ferry passengers
can easily change to a bus or train to get to the match. Normal fares apply.
