One Hundred Homes Sold at Hobsonville Point
Auckland’s newest coastal community
celebrates the 100th home going unconditional
Hobsonville Point, Auckland’s newest
coastal community, is pleased to announce the 100th home has
been sold since the Show Homes and Project Information
Centre opened in November 2011.
As many as 3,000 new homes will eventually be built at the site that has now become recognised as one of New Zealand’s most desirable and sustainable residential housing communities.
AVJennings’ Project Director for the development, Rodney Chadwick, says sales have continued to sit above industry norms.
“When designing the development, we put a great deal of effort into understanding what New Zealanders want from their new homes and communities. Having one hundred homes go unconditional in just over a year, combined with the positive feedback from new residents, confirms we are on the right track,” says Mr Chadwick.
Mr Chadwick says the community is also perfectly placed to meet the growing demands of the extra 500,000 new residents expected in Auckland in 2031.
“Aucklanders need to re-focus their home-buyer needs
in light of the housing shortage forecast. A quarter acre
backyard needs to be sacrificed for a future proofed home
that’s affordable.
“With a 25 minute ferry to the
city, two schools and a buzzing wharf development opening
over the next two years, Hobsonville Point is the future of
wider Auckland living,” concludes Mr Chadwick.
