The State Of Our Environment | December 2012
December served up summer in spades, delivering hot temperatures and yet another month of below normal rainfall following a dry spring. As a result, water levels remained relatively low across the region’s waterways and also our aquifers. If you did manage to find ample water to cool yourself down, you’ll be pleased to know we’ve had good water quality overall at the region’s popular bathing spots. Popular spots they could remain if this weather continues so before you head out and join the masses be sure to check out the HBRC website for the latest sampling results.
