Unison Powers Fiesta of Lights

Unison Powers Fiesta of Lights

Friday 21st December 2012 – The Hawke’s Bay Showground is once again lit up with the Fiesta of Lights, powered by electricity network company Unison Networks.

The Fiesta has been running since 1998 when it opened with 10,000 lights. Now the Fiesta features over 500,000 lights illuminating displays of larger than life toy soldiers, candy canes, bells, stars, teddy bears and a 40m wide nativity scene.

The popular Running Man makes a return, as well as other interactive displays such as the kiddie’s time tunnel and the amazing maze.

This year the displays include the spectacular Unison Christmas Tree, as well as other new installations including a sing-along to the Twelve Days of Christmas with The Muppets.

The Fiesta opened on the 15th December and will run until Saturday 5th of January, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The Fiesta comes to life each night at 9pm, and closes at 11pm.

Entry is just $4 for all ages, and under three’s are free.
