Hawke’s Bay
official Visitor Guide gets a new look
The 2013 Hawke’s Bay Visitor Guide has been published and hits the shelves today, sporting a new look, format and design.
Published annually by Hawke’s Bay Tourism, this is the official regional guide for visitors and is one of the key marketing tools to promote Hawke’s Bay and its tourism businesses.
The guide has had a complete redesign and is now an A1 sized folded map of Hawke’s Bay with inner city maps of Hastings, Napier, Havelock North, Wairoa, Waipukurau and Waipawa. It is also has key regional information and 85 tourism business listings on the reverse.
Annie Dundas, General Manager, Hawke’s Bay Tourism said they were very proud of the new look and design. “We wanted to do something innovative and different to other domestic tourism guides whilst still providing meaningful and useful information for our visitors. This guide goes hand in hand with hawkesbaynz.com as a one stop shop for visitors. We have incorporated QR codes for visitors to scan and be taken to online pages with more detailed information so everything they need to know for their visit including accommodation and things to see and do is at their fingertips whilst they are on the road. With 14% of travelers accessing tourism information via smart phones we know that this kind of technology is becoming a standard visitor expectation.”
The guide has an extensive distribution network with 100 000 copies distributed within New Zealand and Overseas. Outlets include consumer shows, i-SITES, selected travel agents, accommodation providers, tourism operators and Tourism New Zealand. The 2013 guide will also be available to download online via hawkesbaynz.com.
The Visitor Guide is the overarching guide in a ‘family’ of Hawke’s Bay brochures that includes the Food, Wine and Art Guides. These brochures all share complementary cover designs and each respective guide displays the Hawke’s Bay brand.
