Injured motorcyclist flown to hospital
At approx 1.30pm Saturday afternoon a Life Flight team was responded to Long Bush Rd near Martinborough, to a motorcyclist who had sustained moderate injuries after parting company with his machine.
Life Flight responded with a Wellington free ambulance paramedic onboard the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The rider, a New Plymouth man in his early 50’s, was treated on scene by Wellington Free Ambulance and Fire Service staff before being flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department, where he is being assessed for moderate injuries.
