Stabbing On North Shore


Title: Stabbing On North Shore:

North Shore Police are at an address in Birkenhead investigating an incident in which a 25 year old male victim has received life threatening injuries to his upper right leg.

Police say that at 7.00pm on Thursday 13 December 2012 an altercation has taken place between two men on Palmerston Road Birkenhead.

During the confrontation the male offender has stabbed his victim with a large knife. The bloodied victim has been rushed to Auckland hospital by ambulance.

The victim has required surgery for his injuries. He remains in hospital in an induced coma. His condition is stable but it will be some time before Police are able to talk to him.

North Shore CIB investigators have strong leads in their search for the alleged offender. They are interviewing a number of associates in their search to locate the wanted man.
