Bring Festive Joy to Kiwi Kids

Bring Festive Joy to Kiwi Kids
Deliver a gift for Kids in need to the Telecom Christmas Tree!

Calling all Kiwis, the Telecom Foundation is encouraging members of the public to deliver gifts to Telecom Christmas Trees for Kids in need this Christmas.

All gifts brought to the trees will be given to six charities including Children’s hospitals and City Missions nationwide by the Telecom Foundation to ensure kids across New Zealand have a merry Christmas. The charities will deliver the bounty to as many children as possible just in time for Santa!

The three Christmas Trees are located in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch right through until Boxing Day. Anyone can visit a tree, each adorned with 375,000 lights, everyday from dusk until dawn to enjoy the light show and they can deliver presents anytime.

Christmas Tree locations and charities:

Auckland, Victoria Park (from Dec 1st)
• Auckland City Mission
• Kidz First Children’s Hospital, Manukau
Wellington, Waitangi Park (from Dec 7th)
• Wellington City Mission
• Just for Kids, Wellington Children’s Hospital
Christchurch, Latimer Square (from Dec 8th)
• Christchurch City Mission
• Cholmondeley Children’s Home
Please don’t worry about wrapping gifts and for those stuck on gift ideas, you could consider purchasing:
• An educational toy or game
• A book by a New Zealand author
• Sporting equipment
Please avoid gifting the following:
• Perishable items such as food
• Toy weapons (ie: toy guns)

About the Telecom Foundation
• The Telecom Foundation is the umbrella organisation for Telecom’s philanthropic activities and was established in 2011 to encourage generosity and build a better future for Kiwi kids. It facilitates Telecom employee giving through volunteering, matched payroll giving and catalytic philanthropy.

• The Telecom Foundation is not in the business of making grants or writing cheques. Instead we apply a model of ‘catalytic philanthropy’ where we research, engage in and find solutions to achieving our two key principles of encouraging generosity and building a better future for Kiwi kids.

• Rather donate money than give a gift? The Telecom Foundation has made Givealittle.co.nz a zero fees fundraising website! Visit and donate to your favourite cause’s Christmas appeal!
