Christmas in the Park talent line-up announced

Spectacular talent line-up announced for Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park!
The countdown to one of the biggest, brightest, happiest nights on the Kiwi Christmas calendar in Auckland, Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, has begun!
The popular free musical event will be co-hosted by TV3’s Mike McRoberts and Carly Flynn at the Auckland Domain on Saturday 8th December starting at 7.30pm.
Headline act and star of TV3’s The X Factor Australia Guy Sebastian will be joined by popular boy band TITANIUM, recording artists Dane Rumble and Drew Neemia, R’n’B star JAE ’O, Tumehe Rongonui, solo stars Michael Murphy, RIA, Nick Afoa, Akina Edmonds and Tamsyn Miller - to name just a few!
They’ll join the “godparents” of the iconic Christmas extravaganza, Frankie Stevens and Jackie Clarke and backing stars Ellen Kuiper, Sharon Emirali and Cameron Clayton in a 350 strong cast of singers, dancers and performers which features boy bands, choirs, Taiko drummers, kapa haka, hip-hop and Polynesian performers, as well as Bollywood, modern/contemporary and belly dancing groups and the extraordinary aerial artist Eve Gordon.
Artistic director Kate Ward Smythe says, “We still have some surprises up our sleeves but we’re really looking forward to delighting concert-goers with a magical mix of world class entertainment, topped off by a spectacular fireworks finale.
“Coca-Cola has been proudly presenting Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park to New Zealand audiences since 1994,” says Paul Fitzgerald, general manager of Coca-Cola Oceania. “Each year we look forward to welcoming our friends and families to this special free outdoor event. It’s a perfect way to launch the festive season and bring people together to enjoy and celebrate what’s often described as the happiest night of the year.”
This year Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park continues to support Surf Life Saving New Zealand in their efforts to ensure Kiwis have a safe summer at the beach. Rising star Jamie McDell, makes a special appearance in support of Surf Life Saving, during the Ambassadors’ message at 7.15pm on the night of the concerts.
Highlights from the Christchurch and Auckland concerts can been seen in a 90 minute special on TV3 on Sunday 9th December at 7.00pm.
