The Second Ever Blue Oyster International Art Fair
Friday 23 November 5.30pm - 7.30pm at The Temple Gallery, 29 Moray Place, Dunedin
The Blue Oyster Arts Trust was founded in 1999 as a project space that would allow artists to develop their practices.
Its purpose was also intended to broaden the understanding of contemporary and experimental arts in the Dunedin
community by providing a forum for discussion and debate. During our thirteen year existence, we have been located in
our current Moray Place location for the latter half and are hoping to move to a new premises within the next six
months. Creative New Zealand continues to support the cost of our base operations and, encouragingly, has increased our
funding in 2013 in order to secure a location with increased visibility and and improved access for the public. In turn
this will provide a greater profile for the exhibiting artists.
THE SECOND EVER BLUE OYSTER INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR is being held to raise funds for the refit and renovation of the new
space. The refit will include installation of gallery lighting, the addition and removal of walls, and the replacement
of carpet with finished concrete floors amongst many other necessary modifications.
THE SECOND EVER BLUE OYSTER INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR takes place on Friday 23rd November at 5.30pm - 7.30pm

THE SECOND EVER BLUE OYSTER INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR will offer ten exciting contemporary works by Blue Oyster friends and
alumni. Each of the 10 works will be offered for $500. All you need to do is come to the event and place your name
beside an artwork to go into the draw to purchase the work for only $500. You may enter the draw for as many works as
you are interested in but you may win only one. Entries for all works will close at 7.00pm and the winners will be drawn
at 7.30pm.
