SILO PARK announces summer 2012/13 schedule including
international musicians and award winning cinema

Silo Park is proud to announce the launch of its 2012/13 season, offering free entertainment at Waterfront Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter throughout summer.

From Friday 23 November, Silo Park will present a range of special cinematic, music and community events every Friday and Saturday. The SILO MARKETS kick off each weekend at 5:00pm on Friday’s, where visitors can grab dinner from an eclectic array of street food style stalls, browse a variety of pop-up clothing stores, and toast the end of the week at the SILO PARK BAR. SILO MARKETS also features weekly entertainment from local and international DJ’s.

Friday’s are also home to Auckland’s only regular open-air cinema, SILO CINEMA – a fantastic outdoor film experience, where movies of all genres are projected onto the iconic Silo 7 at 9pm. Furthermore, a short film curated by Show Me Shorts will play before each main feature. Silo Park offers the ultimate weekend outing for all ages, inviting families and friends to grab a bite, pull up a beanbag and enjoy the show. SILO CINEMA guests can also ‘Eat Popcorn for Charity’, with all of the profits from popcorn sales throughout the season going to a variety of charities, as chosen by the public.
