Whangaparaoa Mayor In The Chair ‘Evening Edition’
The Mayor is inviting Whangaparaoa locals to an informal community meeting on Thursday 22 November.
The 6.30pm meeting, at Stanmore Bay School Auditorium, is one in a series of regular meetings the Mayor holds around Auckland to connect with different communities.
These meetings follow a ‘town hall’ format where the Mayor takes questions from the floor.
“Hearing from people first-hand about their concerns and hopes for their community is very important to me. I love getting out to different parts of Auckland and hearing peoples’ issues directly. It helps me stay in touch with Aucklanders and get a clear picture of what is happening out there.
“I’m always impressed by how engaged and involved people are in their community and I’m very keen to get to Stanmore Bay and hear about what is important to the people of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula,” says Len Brown.
Individuals and community groups are welcome to attend and share their thoughts directly with the Mayor. Local councillors and local board members are also invited to attend the informal meeting.
Stanmore Bay School is situated at 30 Waiora Road, Hibiscus Coast. The meeting will run from 6.30pm – 8pm.
