Ride to the Coldplay concert by special event bus or train

Coldplay fans are encouraged to ride to the concert on Saturday by special event bus or train.

Public transport is the easiest way to get to Mt Smart Stadium. Just show your Coldplay ticket to travel on event buses and trains.

Gates open at 5.30pm. Travel early between 4.30pm and 6.30pm and be in to win one of one hundred $30 spot prize merchandise vouchers.

Travel by special event train:
Travel on special event trains from 4.30pm to Penrose Station, it’s a short walk to Mount Smart Stadium. Services to Penrose depart from Swanson, Papakura and Britomart approximately every 20 minutes. Swanson event trains stop at all stations to Newmarket then run express to Penrose. Services from Britomart also run express.

A limited number of special event trains will also depart Pukekohe, stopping at all stations to Penrose.

Get home by train after the concert
Trains depart Penrose every 10-15 minutes stopping at all stations en route to Britomart or Papakura. Limited event trains operate to Pukekohe, passengers are advised to check with staff before boarding. Extra trains will also leave Britomart every 15 minutes if you need to transfer to services heading to Swanson from 11.42pm.

Travel by special event bus:
Auckland City Centre to Mt Smart Stadium runs approximately every 5 minutes between 4.15pm and 8.15pm. Buses depart from bus stop 7301 on Quay Street between Commerce and Queen Street.
North Shore buses depart from Albany Station and run via all Northern Busway stations to Mt Smart Stadium approximately every 10 minutes between 4pm and 8pm.

Get home by special event bus after the concert:
After the concert event buses depart O'Rorke Rd and operate to the Auckland City Centre and North Shore. These services operate for 90 minutes after the concert.

Travel by ferry:
Catch a ferry into the city and connect to event buses or trains travelling to the concert. Normal fares will apply.
Passengers are reminded that alcohol is not permitted for consumption on any of these public transport services.

Travel by car:
Drivers should expect traffic delays around the stadium. O’Rorke Road and Maurice Road are closed to public parking. Drivers will need to park on surrounding streets, taking note that they have parked correctly, and walk to the stadium.
