Hayes Knight Director and President of the North Harbour Club, Matthew Bellingham, presented the AIMES Emerging Talent
Awards to six inspirational individuals at a very special cocktail function held at the Spencer on Byron on Wednesday
31st October.
As part of their prestigious AIMES Awards, the Emerging Talent Awards were established by the North Harbour Club in 2005
and recognise individuals who display considerable promise in any of the AIMES Awards categories (the Arts, IT,
Innovation & Science, Music, Education, Sport & Service to the Community). “I am constantly blown away by the talent that continues to emerge from our shores and the
amazing feeling that comes with knowing our future is in good hands,” says advocate and long-time sponsor of these
awards Matthew Bellingham.
"This year’s winners are, once again, a credit to our region, their families and the schools, universities and community
groups who have all had a role to play in their journey to this point and we have great pleasure in congratulating
them".

With the presentation of awards worth over $100,000 in 2011, the North Harbour Club with the help of its sponsors has
awarded over $1.3 million worth of AIMES Awards to the region’s rising young stars since 1995. Previous recipients
include The Naked and Famous, Jacko Gill, Will Martin, Terenzo Bozonne and Cam Calkoen.
Chairman of the Judging Panel, Simon Lamb, Principal of Takapuna Grammar School says "The great thing about the Emerging
Talent Awards is that our recipients are being awarded in the early part of their careers and will often come back to us
in later years and go on to win an AIMES Award. We are particularly proud of our connection with these young people and
it is great to see them continue to grow and achieve and for us to be a part of that, we also really appreciate the
support from Hayes Knight to enable us to continue to reward these outstanding winners".
