With less than four days remaining until the launch of F.A.W.C! Hawkes Bay Food and Wine Classic Summer Series 2012, nine events have completely sold out with many more close to reaching their limit.
F.A.W.C! is a series of over fifty five unique food and wine experiences in Hawke’s Bay between 2nd-11th November
Sold out events include; A Taste of Spain with Deliciosa Tapas and Wine Bar in conjunction with Trinity Hill, The Summer Series 2012 Launch Party, Locavore’s Lunch at the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market, Flicks in France with The Globe Theatrette, Private French Dining at Mission Estate, Call me a Cab with Alpha Domus and two of the highly anticipated Bayleys Chefs in Homes series, hosted by Trinity Hill and Craggy Range which entails an evening of fine food and wine in some of Hawke’s Bay’s most luxurious private homes.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager Annie Dundas said the organisation was looking forward to a successful F.A.W.C! series. “We are really excited to have so many events selling out, and with events on offer for every taste and budget expect to see even more sell out over the next few days as locals and visitors continue to finalise their plans.”
The F.A.W.C! Summer Series 2012 has already drawn significant interest from both National and International media with reporters from the Huffington Post in the UK, The Rhein Main Presse from Germany, Canadian Living, The Daily Meal from the USA, Madison in Australia and Cuisine Magazine as well as many more, all making their way to Hawke’s Bay over the next fortnight. The combined reach from these publications totals nine million readers in six countries.
Auckland and Wellington have proved to be popular domestic markets with 56% of traffic to www.fawc.co.nz coming from these areas, highlighting the national and international interest of the F.A.W.C! event series.
To signal the beginning of the F.A.W.C! Summer Series 2012, more than 20 F.A.W.C! flags have been erected around the region at key entry points and locations.
