Bellota spices things up Spanish-style for Summer
Auckland’s popular Spanish tapas restaurant, Bellota is making some exciting new changes in time for summer! With
extended opening hours to seven days a week, a new head chef, a great Friday lunch deal and Sunday evenings with live
entertainment and cooking demonstrations, Bellota will be the place to be this summer. Indulge in a truly authentic
Spanish experience with fine imported wine and a delectable range of authentic tapas located within the Federal Street
Dining District.
Bellota now open seven days
Bellota is now open seven days a week. This replaces the existing hours of operation which were Tuesday until Saturday.
Opening hours will now be Saturday – Thursday 4.30pm until late, Friday – midday until late.
Spanish Sundays at Bellota!
With Bellota now open on Sundays, spice up your evening with some great entertainment and live cooking demonstrations.
Have your meal prepared right before your eyes with our outdoor cooking station from 5.30pm – 8.30pm. Enjoy a grilled
Mariano Chorizo and Membrillo Pan Fernando roll for only $10 and be entertained with live music playing a mix of Latin,
Afro, Cuban and Brazilian music - the perfect dining atmosphere and the perfect way to end a weekend!
Bellota welcomes new head chef
Bellota is excited to welcome Ernest Pietx as the new head chef at Bellota. As Chef de Partie Ernest brings a fresh
perspective to Bellota with an authentic Spanish background. Ernest studied at the BELLART Culinary School in Barcelona
for two years and has worked in restaurants ranging from a typical Catalonian Hotel restaurant to the fine dining
Restaurant Tore SIMON where he held the position of Second Chef. Ernest is also multi-lingual, speaking Catalan as his
native tongue as well as Spanish and English. “Since joining Bellota just over a month ago, working with such great
produce has been amazing and the team are great too!”says Ernest.

With Christmas just around the corner Bellota is offering an exciting new lunch deal, perfect for those corporate
lunches and staff rewards! Come in between 12pm-4pm on a Friday and indulge in a platter for two which includes two
pinxtos and two tapas for only $50.

Bellota’s travels are in their final leg of the culinary journey through Spain, stopping in Galicia for the month of
October. For every $20 you spend at Bellota you will receive a stamp to go in your Taste of Spain Passport. Hurry, you
