Unsettled weekend
New Zealand's weather this weekend will be reasonably unsettled,as a broad trough moves slowly across the country.
Media and Communications Meteorologist Daniel Corbett commented, "Most places will see rain at some time during the next few days. Heavy or heavy-ish falls are forecast for many South Island places either Saturday or Sunday, as well as for Mt Taranaki and parts of Bay of Plenty. Additionally, it's quite windy today in inland parts of Canterbury, Otago and Southland, and tomorrow we're expecting it to be windy in many North Island places, especially from Taranaki through to Taihape."
Corbett went on to say, "More snow is expected in Otago and Southland on Sunday and Monday. For those places another cold snap is on the way, but it's not likely to be as chilly as last week's event."
