Rimutaka Hill Snowfall
State Highway 1, Rimutaka Hill is currently experiencing rain, hail, and patchy snowfall which is forecast to increase over the remainder of the evening.
The current advice from NZTA is that 10 centimetres plus of snow is likely to fall and there is a significant chance of the road closing this evening.
Motorists having to travel over the Rimutaka Hill are urged to plan their travel sooner rather than later, and to drive according to the conditions.
