Dairy effluent sentencing Monday

On Monday, 10 September three Bay of Plenty farmers will be sentenced in the Tauranga District Court starting at 10am for offences relating to unlawful discharge of dairy farm effluent near Rotorua, Rūātoki and Te Puke.

The sentencing relates to offences under section 338 (1)(a) of the Resource Management Act which have been previously admitted by Bayfield Farms Ltd of Ōtamarākau Road, Te Puke, Mark Dibley of Oturoa Road, Rotorua and Noema Watene of Rūātoki Valley Rd, Rūātoki.

The offences all took place in November 2011.
