$5.5 Million Lotto Powerball winner in Tuakau
Spring has sprung and for one lucky Lotto Powerball player in Tuakau, south of Auckland, the new season has begun with a $5.5 million windfall, said NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.
“Since the start of 2012 we’ve created seven multi-millionaires, who are now all enjoying their winnings – and what a way to celebrate Spring by creating yet another big winner,” said Mr Pickup.
This week’s winning Lotto Powerball ticket was sold at Tuakau Four Square in Tuakau. The prize is made up of $500,000 from Lotto First Division and $5 million from Powerball First Division.
The winning continues tonight, with one other lucky player winning a $500,000 share of Lotto First Division. The winning ticket was sold at Kings Paper Plus and Toyworld in Otorohanga.
A Strike Four prize of $180,475 was won by a player who bought a ticket from Coastlands Lotto in Paraparaumu.
Meanwhile, Amanda from Christchurch won $200,000 on the Winning Wheel at the live draw in Wellington this evening.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at Andrew Spence Pharmacy in Napier. The winning serial number is 560-46870335-20XX
