Local Artists Prepare For A Large Landscape Exhibition At The Gallery
Ten Canterbury artists are putting the final touches on their paintings ready for the September opening of Impressions by Ten, Canterbury artist on location.
Sally Hope, Debbie Lambert, Ngaio Mckee, Susie Millichamp, Bronwyn Shimmin, Sue Simpson, Karen Smith, Jac Sparks, Alison
Ramsay, and Ben Woollcombe will feature in this group exhibition celebrating local talent.
Impressions by Ten is a collaborative exhibition by Mid Canterbury artists who all paint on location. Each one braving the elements of
snow, wind, rain, nor-west winds, sand flies, and bugs to produce these magnificent works. With each artist expressing
their individual creative flair and passion for landscapes. This group show promises to deliver a great variety of
artwork all of which are for sale.
"For many years we have been travelling afar and honing our skills in order to capture the light, the moods, the
exceptionally beautiful countryside, and many precious moments. Dedicated to our craft, we find ourselves painting in
all kinds of weather and on many a different location, each days painting is an adventure in itself, and to have perfect
weather, and a finished piece of work is a real bonus. We welcome you to come and share our experiences of fun, laughter
and artistic endeavours."
