Dunedin Musical Fundraiser
Far South presents a VERY special evening of entertainment in support of the Dunedin Combined Food Bank.

Far South is proud to announce their premiere Dunedin show featuring Martin Phillipps, Two Cartoons and Katie Raven at
8pm on Tuesday 14th August at the Refuel bar on the University campus. These local musicians are putting on a show that
will showcase both the classic ‘Dunedin Sound’, and the original, new music coming out of Otago while also helping out
those in need via the Dunedin Combined Foodbank.
The legendary Chills frontman Martin Phillipps presents quality, New Zealand-sounding, melodic rock music to the world.
Martin’s sound stems from the punk rock ethics of his musical awakening, always delivering live performances with
intensity and conviction. The energy and emotion of Martin’s music have transcended time. He is on top form for this
event.
Two Cartoons are two guys making friends through the medium of music with an aim of putting smiles on faces and bringing
cool dance moves back to the dance floor. The creative collaboration of Bradley Craig and Isaac McFarlane, Two Cartoons
are a young emergent band that have already seen a high level of success, supporting Ladyhawke and Opossom, and
featuring on TV3s 7 Days show as they prepare to take both local and international stages by the horns.
Singer/songwriter Katie Raven is a blinding flame of soulful fire that has been burning underground this year and is set
to erupt into the eyes and ears or the world with a “train-stopping voice” and a body-rocking band. Lashing through a
set of refreshing originals and blistering covers, Katie Raven dominates the stage and the hearts of all who hear her.
The 3 acts will each present a special showcase and also deliver some very special performances combining the unique
talents of all three acts.
This is a one of a kind event and sure to be vital and inspiring. Do not miss this.
The show will be by donation of food or cash and all donations will be given to The Dunedin Combined Foodbank.
