Water Outage In Ngaruawahia This Afternoon

Ngaruawahia residents are urged to fill up containers with water before 5pm today as the water supply will be interrupted for at least two hours, from 5pm onwards.

A break in a water supply pipe has occurred on the corner of Hakarimata Road and Brownlee Avenue in Ngaruawahia.

Waikato District Council workers will begin work at 5pm to ascertain the extent of the break and start repairs. The work may take two hours or more depending on the extent of remedial work required to fix the break.

It is estimated that at this stage residents will not have water until at least 7pm tonight.

Residents will be kept informed through the council’s website and local radio stations.
