Mid-Winter Lotto Powerball Prize of $6.5 Million Won

Mid-Winter Lotto Powerball Prize of $6.5 Million Won

Some mid-winter luck is in town for a Lotto player from Auckland, who tonight has won a fabulous $6.5 million First Division prize, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.

“This is the fifth Powerball multi-millionaire to be created in 2012 and comes three weeks after a Napier couple won $10.3 million,” says Mr Pickup.

This week’s winning Lotto Powerball ticket was sold at Fix St James in Auckland.  The prize is made up of $500,000 from Lotto First Division and $6 million from Powerball First Division.

There was one other Lotto winner tonight, also winning a $500,000 share of Lotto First Division. The winning ticket was sold at Redwood Lotto in Blenheim.

Strike Four was not struck this week and has jackpotted to a massive $400,000.

Meanwhile, Allan, a dairy farmer from Putaruru, spun and won $250,000 on the Winning Wheel at the live draw in Wellington tonight.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at Pak N Save, Riccarton in Christchurch. The winning serial number is 493-60107525-20XX.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet.
