HUTT CITY COUNCIL NEWS RELEASE

Win a trip from anywhere in the world to Hutt City!
Hutt City can stand comparison with anywhere in the world as a great place to live – and to prove we’re a world-beater, we’re going to give ourselves some worldwide publicity, says Mayor Ray Wallace, launching today the Bring Your Home competition.
The competition is a joint promotion with the Hutt News. The prize is a single return airfare from anywhere in the world for the winner to fly to Wellington to stay with a friend or family in Hutt City. The airfare is paid for by the Hutt News.
“I think this is a wonderful opportunity to show some old-fashioned Hutt hospitality to a visitor in a way that will highlight the many exciting things happening here,” says Mayor Wallace.
Hutt News general manager Grant Davidson says the decision to support the competition was an easy one.
“The Hutt News is an integral part of the city and proud of it. We love the idea of spreading the message that Hutt City is a great place to be because it’s something that we and the Hutt businesses we work with know is true.”
The first step in the competition is to collect an ‘I Hutt City’ badge from the Hutt City i-SITE or the Hutt News and send it to a friend or family member who must take a photo wearing it in front of a recognisable landmark abroad. Then they’ll need to post the photo on council’s facebook page (www.facebook.com/huttcitycouncil) with a few words about why it would be great to visit Hutt City. The photo voted the favourite by the public will win the round-trip airfare.
The deadline to post photos is July 31. Voting runs from August 1-31. Terms and conditions apply.
Bring Your Home is part of the council-led ‘I love Hutt City’ campaign that focuses on raising local, regional and international awareness of why Hutt City is a great place to live, work and play.
