New CERA support hub for Southshore
Media Release – Thursday May 24 2012
New CERA
support hub for Southshore
Following last week’s land zoning decisions, a new assistance hub has been set up to provide advice and support to Southshore residents.
CERA chief executive Roger Sutton says the residents of Southshore asked to have a CERA contact point set up in a location closer than the main Avondale hub, to make it easier to access.
“And that was a very sensible suggestion, so we have put that in place now and hope it is of use to those who need it.”
The hub is temporary, depending on the level of use and is situated at the New Brighton Library, 213 Marine Parade.
It is open tomorrow, Friday, between 9am and 12.30pm, next Wednesday 30 May between 1pm and 4pm, and Friday 1 June between 9am and 12.30pm. Mr Sutton says more sessions can be arranged if there is demand.
Earthquake Support Coordinators will be on site as well as CERA staff, and appointments will be able to be made with other parties including EQC and insurers.
