ANZ New Zealand Banks on the EEO Trust Work & Life Awards 2012
Banking group ANZ New Zealand has become the headline sponsor of this year’s edition of the EEO Trust Work & Life Awards. The Awards are to be known as the ANZ New Zealand & EEO Trust Work & Life Awards 2012.
The 15th edition takes place on August 30 at Auckland’s Pullman Hotel. The gala event will feature inspiring stories of what Kiwi companies are doing to boost employee engagement and how this benefits the bottom line.
“The EEO Trust is delighted to welcome ANZ New Zealand as our headline sponsor,” says Michael Barnett, EEO Trust Chairman and Chief Executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. “ANZ New Zealand is a long-time member and supporter of the EEO Trust, and has been showing other New Zealand companies the way with its practical approach to work-life issues, flexibility and staff development.”
ANZ New Zealand won an EEO Trust Work & Life Award in 2010 for its comprehensive flexibility programme, which applies to all 9,000 of its staff and aims to help them balance their responsibilities at work and at home. In 2008, ANZ National Bank won an award for its approach to workplace diversity.
ANZ’s General Manager Human Resources, Felicity Evans, says: “ANZ is proud to sponsor the Work & Life Awards, an inspirational event that tells stories of organisations that succeed because they want their employees to succeed. People are the key to business success, and these awards showcase the many creative and innovative ways employers help their people make the most of themselves at work and outside.
“Recognising that each person brings a unique set of ideas, beliefs, attitudes and skills to the job can help organisations deliver better service. These awards play an important role in championing employers who embrace the whole person and go the extra mile to celebrate the diversity of their workforce.”
The ANZ New Zealand & EEO Trust Work & Life Awards 2012 are open for entries until noon on Thursday, May 17. See www.eeotrust.org.nz
