Auckland East And West Residents Offered Free Entry to MOTAT in May
Auckland East and West residents can look forward to fun and interactive experiences for free at MOTAT during May.
From May 1-31, Auckland East and West residents will gain free entry to MOTAT by presenting vouchers that will appear in local papers and letter boxes throughout the month, vouchers available at local libraries, or by displaying their rates bill or proof of address on entry.
MOTAT Museum Director Jeremy Hubbard says MOTAT prides itself on offering exciting and fresh exhibitions that bring to life New Zealand’s technology and transport history.
“MOTAT is all about celebrating our rich history and the incredible developments New Zealanders have made in the transport and technology industries. From the myriad of Kiwi feats on display in exhibitions such as Signposts to Godzone to the very first one-engine aircraft to fly solo around the world in the new Aviation Display Hall, visitors should prepare to be in awe,” says Mr Hubbard.
“We have something for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s mum or dad interested in the history of our Victorian Village, or the kids who can’t wait to jump into Voyager1 or explore the Tactile Dome,” says Mr Hubbard.
May is a great time to visit MOTAT with plenty of activity happening. Enjoy MOTAT’s Third Sunday of the Month on 20 May where visitors can see MOTAT’s resident blacksmith at work, have mouth-watering fun with the lollymaker or take home a souvenir printed onsite in the MOTAT printing press workshop.
