Day Three Of Cocal-Cola Easter Show
The Coca-Cola Easter Show continues into day three with happy crowds, shows, farm animals and competitions today.
This Easter Show is the best in years on every level and yesterday thousands flocked to see and experience the many attractions. Organisers are optimistic of a record year for the event.
Today the action continues and highlights include:
The final sessions of the Strong Man Competition: this has been hugely popular with the big guys breaking New Zealand records in most events. Huge strength, great personal stories and enthusiastic crowd support. On today at 12:00, 2:00, 4:30 and 7:00pm.
100% Kylie: Lucy Holmes looks and sounds (perhaps better) than Kylie Minogue in this fantastic tribute act. Last night several thousand fans sang along and danced as Kylie rocked the stadium with a high energy stage show featuring all of Kylie's best. She performs again tonight and tomorrow night at 8:00pm.
Farm World: You'd think Kiwi kids know all about farming, but here's proof they don't, with thousands flocking to see award winning cows, bulls, pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens in this massive indoor farm attraction. Sheep shearing, best in class judging of livestock and interactive activities continue all day today, tomorrow and Easter Monday.
Fireworks! Today and tomorrow's shows both finish with a spectacular fireworks show - at the end of the 100% Kylie performance. (no fireworks on Monday).
The Bush Whacker Show and Zirka Circus have been huge, with completely sold out circus shows at every session. Likewise the Bush Whackers have been wowing full stadiums with their tree climbing antics. We have the world's record holder for 50ft and 100ft tree climb performing and some great talent to watch and meet. Seems everyone loves a lumberjack! Both show continue all day today, tomorrow and Monday and are free to enter with your Coca-Cola Easter Show ticket.
Looney Tunes Classroom Capers has been filling the Logan Campbell Theatre with happy families as Bugs, Tweety and Sylvester do their stuff in the classroom. Shows daily at 11:00, 1:00 and 2:00pm. And New Zealand's own, the Wot Wots likewise are proving hugely popular with shows at 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00pm.
And all this is not to mention all kinds of other rides, activities and attractions almost too many to list. Entry $25 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. The Coca-Cola Easter Show continues until Monday. Info at www.eastershow.co.nz.
