PAK’nSAVE Porirua and Anchor thank shoppers for supporting local charities
Anchor Growing Communities has announced how the funds raised through its joint funding initiative with PAK’nSAVE
Porirua will be split amongst three local charities.
The three recipients were Porirua Plunket, Kura School and Tawa Swimming Club who will share a prize pool of $5,000, the
breakdown being:
Porirua Plunket $2,750
Kura School $1,100
Tawa Swimming Club $1,150
The scheme, which ran over three months, encouraged shoppers to donate tokens at the checkout counter when they purchase
Anchor Milk and place them in the specially designed box for the charity of their choice. The more tokens a cause
received, the bigger the donation the charity receives.
Anchor Growing Communities is a recently launched community scheme where Anchor has joined forces with local
supermarkets to donate funds to locally based charities and good causes over the next 12 months.
“Anchor Growing Communities speaks to people at a community level. Anchor is focused on growing communities by letting
local people decide where the money should go. It is all about locals supporting locals and making sure there are much
needed funds for local organisations. We want to encourage shoppers to make a real difference to their local community,”
says Anchor Helena Jannetta.
