Hamilton: Pembroke Street To Be Resealed

27 MARCH 2012

Pembroke Street To Be Resealed

Motorists using Pembroke Street near Waikato Hospital should expect minor delays next week when Hamilton City Council contractors reseal the road.

Work on repairs, including some resurfacing, on the stretch between Selwyn Street and Ohaupo Road will begin this Sunday, 1 April, and is expected to take three days, weather dependent. The work will be done during the day to avoid noise at night. City Transportation Manager Phil Consedine said the resealing work would mean contractors’ staff controlling traffic flows.

“We are aware this is a fairly busy street, with a number of vehicles entering and exiting the hospital campus through Gate 1,” Mr Consedine says.

“Our work will not delay the ambulance service delivering patients to the hospital.” Mr Consedine said the resealing work is likely to be completed on Wednesday, 4 April.
