Solid Energy sends young West Coast equestrian to Horse of the Year Show
Solid Energy is helping talented West Coast equestrian Kelsea O’Connor attend and participate in the New Zealand Horse of the Year Show. Thanks to Solid Energy sponsorship, Kelsea and her pony Frankie will travel from Reefton to the Hawke's Bay Showground in Hastings for the event which runs 13 to 18 March. Having already proved themselves in local competitions around Nelson, the West Coast and Canterbury, the pair will now get the opportunity to compete at a national level in one of the most prestigious sporting events in the country.
The Horse of the Year show combines 17 different equestrian disciplines and having continued to build reputation locally, it is now recognised both nationally and on the international equestrian stage as one of the premier horse events. This year the competition boasts a course designed by Leopoldo Palacios whose previous designs include the equestrian course for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Solid Energy supports a range of sporting and youth development initiatives within its communities across New Zealand.
