Melbourne city visionary in Auckland
Melbourne has been voted the world’s most liveable city three times, and much of the credit for this lies with Professor Rob Adams, a major force in urban design in Australia and worldwide. Hailing from Zimbabwe, Adams has been instrumental in the successful revitalisation of his adopted hometown of Melbourne.
Auckland Mayor Len Brown’s aim is to knock Melbourne off the liveable city top spot (there’s nothing wrong with a bit of friendly competition!). So how can we get there? What can we learn from our friends in Melbourne?
Professor Adams is visiting Auckland as part of the council’s free public AUCKLAND CONVERSATIONS series which presents international speakers, experts in their field, that can inform, influence and inspire on the Mayor’s vision and the issues facing Auckland as we work to become the world’s most liveable city.
