The 12th Annual Auckland International Buskers Festival!

The Auckland International Buskers Festival is one event that really needs no introduction! You should expect the unexpected when you walk around Auckland’s BIG little City this Anniversary Weekend. Vibrant international Street Performers will be greeting you around every corner with their wacky, wild and sometimes death defying performances!

The Festival features; Victor Rubilar (Sweden/Argentina) who has broken 4 Guinness World Records for amazing ball handling skills and has also been on Sweden’s Got Talent; Reuben DotDotDot (Australia) who has performed all over the world with Cirque du Soleil; Blingling Bro’s (New Zealand) who claim they are the World’s first all Maori circus ‘Cirque du Bro’leil!’; and last but not least, Lee Nelson from The Wally Show (Iceland/Australia) is so funny he won the Cape Town International Comedy Award!

For the 12th year running, the Auckland International Buskers Festival will immerse the BIG little City in an awe-inspiring range of entertainment over Auckland Anniversary Weekend from the 27th to 30th of January 2012 – acrobats, dancers, magicians, jugglers, contortionists, hula hoop artists, comedians and more.

The Festival is comprised of six sites spread throughout Auckland City the BIG little City. Sites include two Viaduct Harbour sites, Vulcan Lane, Westfield Downtown, Princes Wharf, and the Seafood Festival/Halsey Street.

The night shows have been part of the Festival since 2003 and are a great way to socialise with friends whilst enjoying outdoor dining in a fun and comical environment.

This year’s Festival is jam packed with as many countries as we could fit into one Festival!

Acts for the 2012 Festival include:

-Victor Rubilar (Sweden/Argentina) -Reuben DotDotDot (Australia) -Hiyro (Japan) -Blingling Bro’s (New Zealand) -The Wally Show (Iceland/Australia) -Bob at Large (USA) -Lisa Lottie (The Netherlands) -Nickey Fynn (Thailand/USA) -Mickey J (Australia) -Sir R Wolley (England/New Zealand)

So zip on your best clapping hands, firm up your stomping boots and dive down the back of the couch for a handful of loose change. From the Viaduct to Vulcan Lane, the streets will be transformed into a playground for some of the world’s most talented Street Performers. Come experience a world of madness and mayhem at the 2012 International Buskers Festival in Auckland’s BIG little City.
