Nature Coast looking to Recruit 4,500 Salespeople
An innovative marketing campaign is being kicked off on the Kapiti Coast to encourage the 4,500 commuters that travel to Wellington daily, to sell the benefits of operating a business on the Kapiti Coast as an alternative to Wellington and the Hutt Valley
This project is part of our wider Business Attraction strategy. It’s a direct comparison against Wellington as a place to do business says “Chris Barber, CEO at the region’s Economic Development Agency, Nature Coast Enterprise
We know that regions all over the world grapple with attracting business investment and we know that not many are successful.
We also know that as a region, we are extremely innovative, as seen with the Clean Technology centre in Otaki, the success that our artists bring, and the fact that 6% of the businesses in the 2011 Deloitte Fast 50 companies are from Kapiti
Having added those ingredients
to the mix, and including the fact that from a business
location point of view, Kapiti outperforms Wellington on
many fronts including:
• The Kapiti Coast
having a more productive workforce than the rest of the
Wellington region
• Kapiti Coast business parks
having lower overheads than the rest of the Wellington
region
The Business Growth team at Nature Coast Enterprise is looking for 4,500 Kapiti Coasters to “Dob in the Boss” and let us know if they think their workplace should consider relocating to Kapiti. Then the Nature Coast team has the easy job of providing sounds reasons as to why.
This project will be complimented by event in January
where Mayor Jenny Rowan, District Councillors, Kapiti Coast
Airport Owner Sir Noel Robinson, Electra CEO John Yeoman and
others will be cooking breakfast for commuters at the
Paraparaumu Railway Station and asking people before they
board to train to “Tell your boss that Kapiti is a great
place to base your business and it’s about time relocation
was a consideration”
